This is Gunstock
On certain years, the town of Gunstock fills with traders, hunters, entertainers, and travelers during the height of Midsummer. They gather together to hunt the raider tribes that flock there for “DeathCon,” ready to harvest their parts for drugs, elixirs, and more.
While the hunt continues, others descend on Gunstock for further gains. Pop-up bars, entertainers, musicians, religious zealots, and others ply their trades in order to turn a profit.
This time, though, there’s something wrong with the town of Gunstock. The Raiders have begun to swarm, but they seem to be avoiding one, particular area – a place where zombies loom and the fetid smell of rot wafts on the breeze. Now, Grave Divers plan to get to the root of the problem before it becomes something catastrophic. But more worrying still is the idea that the two may be related – that, perhaps, something has always lurked – waiting for its moment.

Event themes
As always, we recommend that each participant read through the site to determine if this is the sort of event that they’d like to participant in. DeathCon is a horror event, and deals with the themes of:
violence, combat, drugs, death, zombies, simulated torture, Raiders, a festival-like atmosphere, black market dealings, local fictional politics, fictional religions, murder, music, romance, and body horror. The event itself may include fire, loud noises (including loud bangs), burlesque, music, smoke and fog, and simulated combat.
While we try to disclose the main themes that you may encounter, there may be other themes and scenarios that crop up during the event. We encourage each participant to know their own limits, and to feel empowered to remove themselves from any scene that they may not be up for in order to best enjoy the event.
Notable Locations
The town of Gunstock has various areas where you can find their farms, bars, and entertainment centers. Most notable are Trigger’s Place, Yaz’s Farming Cooperative, the Main Stage, Forestock Forge, the Frontline Field, and the Necrology Station.
Each location will have various NPCs (non-player characters) and plots attached to them and will be active at varying times during the event.

Factions and rivalries
As people flock to Gunstock, various factions have decided to take advantage of the situation. After all, if this town has become a hub of activity, it’s also a great place to get things done. As you enjoy the event, you’ll have the opportunity to influence what happens by helping or betraying these factions, deciding who comes out on top and who sinks to the bottom. Choose your allies carefully as you navigate the muddy waters of politics.
Doki-Doki DeathCon
Love can flourish in the most unlikely of places. Each of the main NPCs (non-player characters) you encounter at DeathCon will not only have plot and stories to engage with, but ALSO have dating preferences, so you can play matchmaker. Depending on which NPC matches with which, you can influence the narrative and what information you receive.
The Violence at Gunstock
Not only are Raider hunts a staple of Gunstock, but the recent issue with the Mortis means that Grave Divers have begun to swarm. Clearly, there will be a lot for visitors to do this year…especially as the violence spreads outward.
During the day, hunters and fighters alike gather to test their mettle against the makeshift Raider encampments just outside the town of Gunstock. They gather teams to go out and gather Raider parts for profit, and to support various factions that may just have their own goals.
Just remember: Raiders are brutal, and there is no glory without risk.
Raider Hunts
At night when the world grows calm, the undead grow restless. Grave Divers gear up to enter the Mortis — a place of death where they may not come back the same.
Gunstock is suffering from a Corrupted Morgue — an issue that needs to be dealt with before it rises to the surface and unleashes hell upon the town. Brave teams have decided to enter death itself in order to clear it out…and potentially learn more about the mystery of why it’s formed in the first place.
